This display is a famiy tree of for form, structure and language. It has really helped my GCSE pupils understand how the elements of writing are linked and they refer to it frequently. Simply print onto coloured paper and use the map to position your display.
The file includes
- Close up, zoomable image of the display
- Map of the display
- All of the labels in an uneditable version and editable version, in sections so you can simply load up your printer with coloured paper and the 'families' will print together e.g. all of the punctuation words will be together, all of the forms etc.
- Blank templates so you can add your own words
- The title cards
PLEASE NOTE: I used washi tape to create the lines connecting my labels so you will need this or something similar (such as masking tape) to do this.

I use this TEACH framework as an alternative to PEE paragraphs or other writing structures, as I find that it can be adapted for all ability levels and is more attuned to the new AQA GCSE literature mark scheme. Rather than being restrictive, it allows students to build to a more detailed analysis.
